Labs and Facilities List

The purpose of the lab is to introduce the students to process simulation using common process simulators. The lab has been renovated and expanded recently and is equipped with state of the art machines. Currently the lab has about 40 PC's and a dedicated server. Several process simulation software are made available to students including: Aspen Plus, Aspen Hysys, ProMax, and SuperPro Designer. In addition, other mathematical and graphing software are accessible to students. The Computer Applications Lab uses Aspen Plus/HYSYS to familiarize students with different topics in process simulation. The lab is designed to provide the students not only with hands on experience on the software, but also with theoretical background and connections between the topics learned by the students during their studies and the simulation.
