Fluid Mechanics Laboratory
Lab Description
The Fluid Mechanics laboratory incorporates several experiments relevant to fluid mechanics. It includes a wide range of apparatus most of which can serve as demonstration for multiple measurements/phenomena. One experiment per session is performed with eight experiments in total. Experiments 1. Density and Viscosity Measurement 2. Surface Tension and Pressure Gauge Calibration 3. Reynolds Experiment 4. Impact of a Water Jet 5. Capillary Viscometer 6. Center of Pressure 7. Fluid Friction and Flow Measuring Devices 8. Pumps' Testing In addition, based on the available resources it is possible to add three more experiments related to pressure measurement, vapor pressure and surface tension measurement.
