Second Jordanian International Biomedical Engineering Conference (JIBEC)

As part of the efforts of the Department of Biomedical Engineering to link the academic aspect with practical application, our students made a field visit to the health computing company Hakeem in Amman, one of the leading companies in the field of digital health systems. During the visit, the students learned about the latest technologies used in electronic healthcare management, and listened to a detailed explanation from the company’s team on how these systems are developed and used to improve medical services. The visit was a unique opportunity to enhance practical knowledge and broaden students’ horizons about the future of technology in the health sector.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering - Jordan University of Science and Technology, represented by its Head, Prof. Dr. Louay Friwan, and a number of members of the academic and administrative staff, participated in the activities of the Second Jordanian International Biomedical Engineering Conference, which was held at the Royal Hotel in the capital, Amman, on Wednesday 11/27/2024 and Thursday 11/28/2024.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology organized on Monday 10/21/2024 and Tuesday 10/22/2024, under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Duraid Dalala'a, workshops and lectures presented in cooperation with the German Technical University of Chemnitz, and in the presence of Dr. Louay Friwan, Head of the Department, and guests from inside and outside the university. The workshops on the first day included providing students with leadership and communication skills. The workshops were presented by Engineer Ruba Al-Qudah and Counselor Marwa Saleh. On the second day, the workshops included lectures by Dr. Al-Fah Kanoun, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abbini, and Dr. Ruba Khanouf
