​Under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Omar Jarrah, President of the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), the aeronautical Engineering Department held its first scientific day on Thursday 27/4/2017 at Salah Al-din auditorium. The event included presenting the participants with Honorary Shields for their contribution in the success of the event and a series of lectures were delivered which aimed towards educating aeronautical students about the requirements of the labor market after graduation.

The event also included a short speech presented by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Yahya Al-Qawasmi and the Head of Aeronautical Engineering Department, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shyyab which pointed out the importance of such activity in enriching the students' horizons and strengthening cooperation ties between the institutions of the society and the industry sector and creating an interaction with companies and institutions working in the field of aviation to prepare students for the labor market locally, regionally and internationally.​

أقام قسم هندسة الطيران يومه العلمي الأول يوم الخميس 27/4/2017 في قاعة صلاح الدين. وتضمنت الفعالية تقديم دروع فخرية للمشاركين تقديراً لمساهمتهم في إنجاح الفعالية ، كما تم إلقاء سلسلة من المحاضرات التي تهدف إلى توعية طلاب الطيران بمتطلبات سوق العمل بعد التخرج.

كما تضمنت الفعالية كلمة قصيرة ألقاها عميد كلية الهندسة الدكتور يحيى القواسمي ورئيس قسم هندسة الطيران الدكتور أحمد الشياب أبرزت أهمية هذا النشاط في إثراء آفاق الطلاب. وتقوية أواصر التعاون بين مؤسسات المجتمع وقطاع الصناعة وخلق تفاعل مع الشركات والمؤسسات العاملة في مجال الطيران لإعداد الطلاب لسوق العمل محلياً وإقليمياً ودولياً
