Vision

To achieve global recognition in oral health education with a commitment to excellence in research, patient care, and community service.

Mission

To graduate competent dentists who are able to manage oral and dental conditions and diseases based on scientific evidence and critical thinking. In addition, graduates will be able to conduct oral health research and provide community services that promote oral health.

Goals & Objectives

Goal #1
To graduate competent dentists capable of providing oral and dental care based on updated scientific evidence, implementing contemporary procedures and technological advances in a multidisciplinary approach.
Major Objectives	Major Strategies
- Prepare graduates to engage in comprehensive dental education programs that meet local and international standards.	- Implement Program’s and course’s Learning Outcomes that meet the needs of contemporary dental practice in Jordan.
- Work towards excellence in teaching and learning through regular improvement, resources, and campus life.	- Dispatch scholars to international schools with high reputations. - Retain high-caliber faculty members by enhancing financial resources.
- Encourage professional development that values students’ learning experience.	- Liaise with the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality Assurance to organize workshops and offer professional development activities throughout the academic year.
- Utilize technology in dental education and dental care.	- Incorporate Information technology, digital dentistry and information management in the Dental curriculum.

Goal #2
To graduate dentists who are capable to evaluate, design and conduct scientific research, are learners for life, and contributors to new knowledge in an environment that supports graduate intellectual advancement and student well-being.
Major Objectives	Major Strategies
- Encourage critical thinking, cognitive skills, and evidence-based judgment.	- Ensure proper mapping of curriculum, course learning outcomes and assessment to enable critical thinking.
- Engage students with research processes.	- Encourage students to participate and assist in ongoing faculty members’ research. - Incorporate research projects within the curriculum. - Enhance research days in the College in a competition theme that has allocated incentives. - Encourage Faculty members to guide and mentor the students through personal communication and through the Research Hub.
- Enhance exchange programs and other school activities that open the scope for continuous professional development for graduates.	- Collaborate with international bodies to exchange students for research and/or postgrad education. - Encourage school meetings with students to discuss future concerns.

Goal #3
To graduate dentists who provide oral and dental care focusing on patient safety, with highest respect to ethics, regulations with commitment to improve community health.
Major Objectives	Major Strategies
- Enhance patient-centered clinical practice throughout the program.	- Maintain Course learning out comes that focus on patient centered comprehensive treatment planning and management.
- Enhance and engage students with community service.	- Plan and implement on- and off-campus community service student activities in collaboration with Deanship of Students’ Affair and sustainability centers at JUST.
- Educate students on principles of dental clinic administration, dental ethics and regulations of the Jordanian Dental Association.	- Maintain Course Learning Outcomes that deal with dental ethics and jurisprudence as well as regulations of the Jordanian Dental Association. - Encourage students to observe and assist practicing Dentists in Jordan during summer semesters.
