A Royal Decree was issued to establish the College of Dentistry on September 16, 1983, and teaching began at the beginning of the academic year 1984/1985 to promote an effective and cooperative educational environment, as we have contributed and will continue to contribute to highlighting the profession of dentistry at the regional and international levels.

- The college is unique in granting a clinical master's degree in the following specialties:
Endodontics, Restorative Dentistry, and Periodontics.
- Providing advanced clinical training after completing a master's degree or higher specialization in dental medicine and surgery for various dental sectors inside and outside Jordan.
- The college provides the largest number of dental units equipped with the latest means for training students (257) units in two different places (dental students' clinics on campus and dental students' clinics in the city of Irbid).
International Accreditations
- Work is in progress to achieve the academic accreditation requirements for the European organization (ADEE) and the American academic accreditation standards (CODA).
- Accreditation of the College of Dentistry programs by the Irish Royal College of Surgeons in the following specializations (prosthodontics, periodontal disease and surgery, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontic treatment, conservative dental treatment).
