This course is designed to offer a comprehensive review of oral diseases for the students enrolled in the comprehensive track for the MS degree in oral pathology and medicine.
It aims at evaluating the basic knowledge of oral and maxillofacial diseases and their diagnosis and treatment compiled over 1½ years of training in the MS program.
It consists of a 2-hour weekly session that includes discussion of miscellaneous cases with the appropriate case histories and illustrations regarding clinical, radiographic and histoptahologic features where applicable.
The instructor provides the information for students, who take turns in answering relevant questions about the diagnostic approach, including differential diagnosis and necessary investigations, and about the diagnosis using the available illustrations and information, and finally about the management or treatment.
