The Department of Architecture at Jordan University of Science and Technology Attains the International NAAB Certification
After a long journey that spanned three years of intense work, the National Architectural Accreditation Board (NAAB) has granted the Bachelor of Architecture program at the College of Architecture and Design a six-year international NAAB certification effective from 1/1/2022. NAAB is one of the most prestigious and reliable organizations dedicated to maintaining and improving the teaching quality criteria in architecture and architectural engineering stemming from its primary mission. "The NAAB develops and maintains an accreditation system in professional degree education that enhances the value, relevance, and effectiveness of the profession of architecture."
The Department of Architecture at Jordan University of Science and Technology is one of the first in the country to receive the NAAB international certification, which was obtained in collaboration with college administration, professors, administrative staff, college students, and support of the university administration. This work covered several tasks to meet the certification the requirements, including the courses' documentation process, quality assurance, field visits, assessments of the learning environment, personnel, course learning outcomes, and university facilities.
