The Orthopedic Rehabilitation (OT- 1 laboratory) is located in N3 L-4. The lab is designed to introduce the students to the necessary clinical skills in Orthopedic Rehabilitation and prepare them for the clinical phase of their study. The lab offers an environment for the students to practice, learn, and use the most common used standardized assessments for adults in motor, sensory, cognitive, and functional level assessments. Also it offers a suitable environment for the student to learn and practice different rehabilitation methodologies and approaches used in the physical and orthopedic dysfunction area.
In addition, the students learn how to fabricate different types of splints, static and dynamic, and how to do finishing, padding, and strapping for each splint. Also they practice the process of fitting splints.
The lab contains standardized assessments, examination beds, mats, anatomy models, and splinting equipment (heat pans, heat guns, and splinting tools).
