This preclinical lab located at M1 L.4. The lab includes physical therapy adjustable tables, therapeutic plinths, mats, weight area, exercise tools, musculoskeletal anatomical models, treadmills, and stationary bikes. Also, the lab has storage for assistive devices such as wheelchairs and crutches used for clinical training. The lab is equipped with data show and multimedia projectors for presentations and video demonstrations.
The lab is designed to provide a teaching environment for skills in musculoskeletal physical therapy through interactive learning and clinical scenarios simulation. The lab offers an environment for the students to practice skills of orthopedic and basic physical therapy assessment including: palpation, goniometry, muscle strength, gait, and vital signs assessment.
The lab provides a spacious area for manual therapy skills training, orthopedic surgery and other musculoskeletal conditions rehabilitation. The lab is also the location where the student practices skills for therapeutic exercises including: aerobic, strengthening, flexibility, balance training, core training and proprioceptive neuromascular facilitation technique. Therefore, the students will visit this lab in several courses during their study.
