The Activities of Daily Living (OT-3 laboratory) is located in N3 L-4. The lab is designed to introduce the students to the necessary Occupational Therapy clinical skills and promoting independence in performing the basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
In this lab, students are offered the chance to practice using different types of mobility aids on different surfaces and situations through the usage of the simulated ramps and stairs. Besides, it offers the opportunity to train the students on using different transferring techniques to transfer from a wheelchair to bed, chair, car, bathtub, and toilet and vise versa.
The car provided in the lab is used for introducing and training the students on using different driving rehabilitation components added to the car to make it accessible for different types of disabilities to transfer in and out of the car.
The lab contains simulated mini apartment which includes a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and a dining room. The laboratory also contains examination beds, stairs, ramps, car, therapeutic activities (fine and gross), and rehabilitation equipments.
