The Hematology Lab is located in M6 L.-1. The lab is designed for teaching the practical sessions of the Hematology, Diagnostics Hematology and Blood Bank.

The primary purpose of this lab is to provide the medical laboratory sciences students with a better understanding for the most important basic and advanced techniques and test procedures that are applied in routine hematology and blood bank and the purpose behind these tests.
The lab contains many equipment including microscopes, different types of centrifugation machines and a complete blood count (CBC) machine which are used to teach students how the hematological tests are done. Also sharp containers and medical wastes baskets are provided in the lab to insure safety of students.
In the lab, students are trained on blood withdrawing and the exact procedures for all tests that can be done using blood samples starting with complete blood count (CBC), blood film preparation and examination and how to link between the results and the different types of blood diseases, ending with blood grouping and compatibility testing in case of blood donation and transfusion in blood bank.
