Dental Technology
Objectives
-Equip students with theoretical and practical knowledge to construct complete and partial removable dentures (transitional and cobalt chromium).
-Provide comprehensive training in creating fixed prosthetics, including metal, metal-ceramic, and complete ceramic restorations.
-Enable students to design prosthetics supported by dental implants.
-Instruct on the fabrication of various orthodontic appliances.
-Teach the construction of obturators for oral facial prosthetics.
-Provide skills for fabricating facial prosthetic components, such as eyes, ears, noses, and fingers.
-Instill professional ethics throughout the educational experience.
Outcomes
Graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Dental Technology will be able to:
-Utilize the tools and materials necessary for manufacturing diverse dental prosthetics.
-Demonstrate proficiency in fabricating removable and fixed prosthetics, including complete dentures, partial dentures (transitional and cobalt chromium), crowns, bridges, and post & core restorations.
-Create implant-supported prosthetics, such as crowns and overdentures.
-Construct both fixed and removable orthodontic appliances.
