Description: Space of area designed with a big room for student training and meetings purposes with the instructor, in addition to the other two small rooms: one is equipped with dental radiograph supplies, while the other is prepared for a storage purpose for dental instruments and materials that needed in training.
Equipments: The lab equipped with all materials and instruments that needed for students practicing as “pre- clinic training”at the following aspects: prosthodontics, conservative dentistry, orthodontics, pedodontics, oral surgery, dental radiography, periodontics, and oral medicine.
The lab has also three patient heads simulators that are used for training purposes in both dental hygiene and dental assisting areas. They are utilized for the preclinical course for the Allied Dental Students that aims at developing the practical application of the fundamental concepts, theories, and principles of dental hygiene and dental assisting practice. Emphasis is placed on mastering basic skills necessary for providing dental hygiene services to clients including dental hygiene process of care and basic instrumentation before practicing these skills on real patients in clinics.
