Sunday 20 November /// Today, Jordan University of Science and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding with the British University of Reading, with the aim of enhancing bilateral cooperation between them in the academic and research fields.
It was signed on behalf of the University by Vice President Prof. Dr. Sarhan Haddad, and on behalf of the University of Reading, Dean of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Simon Mortimer. The memorandum included the exchange of faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students between the two sides, scientific publishing, joint academic supervision, and organizing participation in conferences and seminars.
Haddad said that Jordan University of Science and Technology is looking forward to strengthening research partnerships with international universities in order to support and develop programs that combine multiple disciplines, especially since the university has infrastructure, scientific environment, faculty members and cadres with expertise.
For his part, Mortimer highlighted the importance of building partnerships between Jordanian and British universities, praising the high level of Jordan University of Science and Technology and its distinguished reputation and achievements at the international level.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Anas Al-Nabulsi, the Dean of Academic Development and Quality Control, Prof. Fidaa Al-Tamimi, and the Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Tariq Muqtash.
It is worth noting that the British University of Reading was founded in 1892. It is one of the oldest British universities in the field of research, education and training at all levels. It is one of the ten most important research universities in the United Kingdom and among the top 200 universities in the world, according to the Times classification.
