The Faculty of Agriculture aspires to achieve excellence in education, scientific research, and leadership across various domains of food, agriculture, and environmental sciences—both within Jordan and globally.
Mission
The Faculty delivers agricultural education, scientific research, and extension programs aimed at achieving sustainable agriculture that meets local needs and produces outcomes without compromising the needs of future generations. The Faculty also aims to prepare students with solid qualifications in the agricultural field, while enhancing the level of education, knowledge, and skills necessary to promote the sustainability of natural and agricultural resources, as well as local community systems.
Objectives
- To graduate students equipped with the scientific and practical skills and competencies required to serve the agricultural sector in Jordan and the Arab region.
- To conduct fundamental and applied agricultural research aimed at increasing the productivity of the Jordanian agricultural sector, while ensuring the optimal use of natural, agricultural, and food resources involved in production processes and preserving the environment.
- To serve the local community by making the Faculty’s expertise accessible to stakeholders in the agricultural sector and the broader community.
- To develop postgraduate programs and empower students with methodologies and techniques of agricultural scientific research and its applications.
