The main objective of this class is to familiarize students with the most common plant disease problems, insect and non-insect pests of major field crops in Jordan and the Mediterranean region. After finishing this course, students are expected to become familiar with the major pests of field crops, be able to identify them, have basic knowledge of their biology and methods employed to the management of these pests. The basis of interactions between plants and their pests will be emphasized and appropriate examples will be given.
