Course Description

Production, use, ecology, morphology, and physiology of major legume and cereal crops. Critical review of related literature.

General Course objectives:

To learn the fundamental principles and facts about cereal and seed legume crops as agricultural resources in terms of there:

  1. Nutritional value as human food and livestock feed,
  2. Utilization including harvesting and preservation,
  3. Growth and development,
  4. Maintenance of production,
  5. Establishment, And the integration of these topics to  provide understanding  of how  sustained yields of high quality is attained.

What you are expected to learn from this course:

To acquire a basis for appreciation and wise utilisation of cereal and seed legume crops as biological and ecological resources for the benefit of humans and the protection of the environment.
