Curriculum Committee 

This committee takes care of the study plan. The plan is periodically updated as per recommendations of Ministry of Higher Education, job market or students observations. Furthermore, the student member will convey the student’s requests for study plan modifications and certainly will convey approved changes to the plan.​

Scientific Research Committee 

​This committee reviews research proposals submitted by faculty members in the department prior to its submission to the faculty research committee for approval prior to the final submission of the proposals to the University Deanship of Research for final approval and funding.

Graduate Studies Committee​

This committee reviews the student’s applications for graduate program and recommends the names of the accepted students to the faculty of Science Graduate Studies committee who approves and send the names of the accepted students to the faculty of Graduate Studies for their final approval​.​

​Accreditation Committee​

This committee handles the department accreditation process by ASIIN and handles the local accreditation process which is run by the commission for accreditation of the higher education institutions affiliated with Ministry of Higher Education.

​General Safety Committee

This committee takes care of watching the safety/biosafety of the laboratories and the department premises in general. They revise university regulations concerning the safety and adapt what is suitable for the department.

Internet Committee 

This committee takes care of the department webpage to keep it up to date. Further, this committee helps faculty members on uploading courses data on the system of courses quality control located in the official university homepage. ​
