The Directorate of Agricultural Research and Training was established in 2013 with the objective to supervise and undertake agricultural training and research work in the academic departments of Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The department provides all the necessary supplies for the teaching and training process to maximize benefits to students and faculty members, since training operations have become inside the university, leading to saving effort for faculty members and students compared to training outside the university as well. In addition to this, it helped saving university funds through daily transportation during the summer training, which lasts about two months. For the success of the training process, the directorate sections are growing vegetables and crops, raising different poultry and farm animals, in addition to maintaining the educational orchard products and various dairy products. This production is sold to employees within the university.
