Regional workshop on curriculum design in veterinary medicine

The faculty of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the British Royal Veterinary faculty (RVC), organized a workshop on designing study plans during the period from 12/13-15/2022. It aimed to present what has been accomplished by updating the study plan at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Jordan University of Science and Technology, which has been updated. As one of the outcomes of the twinning project with the British Royal faculty of Veterinary Medicine and to be in line with the requirements for obtaining accreditation from the Association of European Veterinary faculty (EAEVE), the workshop also discussed ways to develop veterinary medicine curricula in the Arab region.
During this workshop, Professor Dr. Samih Abu Tarboush, Dean of the faculty , met with participating delegations from several Arab countries, Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon and Palestine, the regional representative of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), the President of the Mediterranean Veterinary Education Association (Reev-Med), and many faculty members. At the faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Jordan University of Science and Technology and the British Royal faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Abu Tarbush stressed the importance of such workshops in developing veterinary education and praised the depth of relations with the British Royal faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the ongoing cooperation with them, as work is underway to prepare a memorandum of understanding between the two faculties . The delegation visited the veterinary hospital, the veterinary health center, and the veterinary skills laboratory at the faculty .
