إنشاء شراكة علمية بين كلية الطب البيطري
في جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا و شركة ميريال / فرنسا
أكد
رئيس جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الاردنية الدكتور عمر الجراح أهمية
الشراكة مع القطاع الخاص في دعم التعليم البيطري ودعم الكلية وتطويرها
لتصبح جاذبة لمختلف فئات المجتمع من طلبة ومزارعين ومهتمين بالصحة العامة
والقطاع الحيواني.
جاء
ذلك خلال لقاء الدكتور الجراح، وفد شركة ميريال الفرنسية الرائدة في مجال
صناعة اللقاحات والأدوية البيطرية برئاسة فيرن فنسيت / المدير التجاري
للشرق الأوسط، وشدد الدكتور الجراح على أهمية مثل هذه الشراكات المتعلقة
بتطوير التعليم الجامعي والسعي لجعل كلية الطب البيطري في جامعة العلوم
والتكنولوجيا الأردنية من اهم كليات الطب البيطري على مستوى العالم العربي.
وقال
عميد كلية الطب البيطري الدكتور فلاح شديفات انه تم خلال الزيارة بحث
انشاء مركز تدريبي متطور داخل الحرم الجامعي متخصص بقطاع الدواجن سيتم
تمويله من شركة ميرال الفرنسية بحيث يصبح هذا المركز مركزاً علمياً لتدريب
العاملين في قطاع الدواجن وطلبة كلية الطب البيطري إضافة إلى عقد ورش عمل
لعملاء الشركة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.
ونوه
الدكتور شديفات إلى أن شركة ميريال اعتمدت مختبرات كلية الطب البيطري في
جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا لإجراء الفحوصات التشخيصية الخاصة بعملائها على
مستوى المنطقة في قطاع الدواجن كخطوة لربط الكلية بالقطاع الخاص على
المستوى العالمي.
كما
تم عرض مبادرة Hold by Hand برعاية ودعم شركة ميريال بالاشتراك مع كلية
الطب البيطري في جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الاردنية و Vet Volunteer والتي
من أهم أهدافها ايصال القيمة الفعلية والمضافة للمجتمع من خلال مهنة الطب
البيطري وأثرها في الصحة العامة والأمن الغذائي.
وحضر
اللقاء الدكتور نائب رئيس الجامعة الدكتور خالد السالم والدكتور محمد
خليفة نائب عميد كلية الطب البيطري والسيد يوسف الغبيش / الوكيل لشركة
ميريال في الأردن والدكتور وليد الصالح المدير الفني والتسويقي للشركة في
منطقة الشرق الأوسط.
A delegation from Merial Company visited the College of Veterinary Medicine in Jordan University of Science and Technology
A
delegation from Merial Company (A Pioneer Company in Veterinary Vaccine
and Medical Production) has visited the College of Veterinary Medicine
in Jordan University of Science and Technology on Sunday the 13th of November, 2016 to discuss a collaboration launching between the company and the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr.
Omar Al-Jarrah the president of Jordan University of Science and
Technology in the presence of the Dean of Veterinary Medicine Dr. Falah
Shudaifat and the Business Operations Mr. Verin Vincent has emphasized
to the delegation the importance of this cooperation in supporting the
educational veterinary sector and the improvement of the college of
veterinary medicine so it will be attractant to different categories in
the community (students, farmers, public health and animal sector
concerned people).
From
his side the dean of veterinary medicine said, this legation is
visiting the college of veterinary medicine to put the agreement items
to build up a developed training center inside Jordan University of
Science and Technology specialized in poultry which will be powered by
Merial company, and this center is going to be a place for the training
of workers in poultry sector in addition to the veterinary students in
Jordan University of Science and Technology.
Dr. Shudaifat added that this center will perform workshops for the agents of Merial Company located in Middle East.
The
dean of veterinary medicine noted that Merial Company has chosen the
labs in veterinary college in Jordan University of Science and
Technology to perform the diagnostic tests of poultry for its agents in
the region.
An
initiative the name (Hold My Hand) by Merial was also presented to Dr.
Al-Jarrah, this initiative consolidate cooperation between Merial,
Jordan University of Science and Technology and vet volunteers which
will emphasize the added values to the society through the career of
veterinary medicine and its impact on public health and food safety.
The
meeting was attended by Vice President Dr. Khaled Al-Salem, Vice Dean
of Veterinary Medicine Dr. Mohammed Khalefeh, Mr. Yousef Al-Ghabbish
Sales Manager (Merial Company) and Dr. Walid Al- Saleh Technical and
Marketing Manager (Merial Company).
