The College of Veterinary Medicine, in coordination with representatives of the Student Union at the college, organized a field visit to the Jordanian National Center for Police Dogs on Sunday, 12/15/2024. The tour included a visit to the veterinary hospital and the rehabilitation center designated for police dogs.

During the visit, the students learned about the medical services the hospital provides to dogs, such as diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care, which gave them the opportunity to learn closely about veterinary work in this field. A specialized team from the center also provided a detailed explanation about police dog training programs and their multiple uses in detecting explosives, drugs, and tracking missing persons.

This visit comes within the framework of the college’s keenness to provide an integrated educational experience that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, which contributes to enhancing the students’ experiences and qualifying them to work in various veterinary medical fields.
