Vet Connect Day Event Monday, 11/5/2026
12 May 2026

Professor Dr. Maisar Omar Al-Akash, Dean of the Faculty, sponsored the Vet Connect Day event in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs and in the presence of Professor Dr. Majed Masaadeh, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. The event was held in a cultural and interactive atmosphere that brought together students from various academic levels in a day that reflected the spirit of cooperation, belonging, and university identity among students.

The event was organized in line with the faculty's goals of enhancing communication and interaction among students, strengthening their sense of belonging to the faculty and the university, and providing an interactive student environment that combines academic, social, and professional aspects. It also aimed to develop communication and teamwork skills and encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities and university life.

The event included dividing students into groups representing the different academic stages within the faculty. Each group presented the scientific and practical skills and experiences acquired during their stage of study, while explaining how this knowledge can be applied in professional life and its role in serving the community and promoting concepts of public health and animal health within the framework of the One Health concept.

The day witnessed remarkable interaction from students through the presentation of anatomical and educational models from the animal dissection laboratory, in addition to showcasing a number of live animals. This provided attendees with the opportunity to explore the practical and applied aspects of studying veterinary medicine and contributed to enhancing scientific and veterinary awareness among students and visitors.

The event also aimed to introduce students to the academic and professional opportunities related to veterinary medicine, build bridges of communication between students, faculty members, and supporting organizations, and support mental health and student well-being through social and interactive activities that fostered an atmosphere of familiarity and cooperation among all participants.

The organizers emphasized the importance of holding such cultural and student activities, which contribute to linking the academic aspect with community service and support the Sustainable Development Goals related to quality education, decent work, and economic growth.
