The Clinical Skill Laboratory established "Skill Lab"
The Clinical Skill Laboratory was established in the year 2016 at the Veterinary Health Center VHC. This lab is open for students during working hours. Students can practice basic clinical skills in this lab under the supervision of their instructor. In addition, the lab has large learning database resources that are easily accessed by students. The faculty adopted a strategy (when possible without affecting teaching quality) to use alternatives of animals and materials of animal origin. The "Skill Lab" was established to deliver various topics in several pre-clinical courses.
Clinicians at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine are well trained in internationally accredited institutions. They have the capacities, skills, and knowledge to apply to clinical patients at different setups. Although our staff was trained in different institutions with different backgrounds, they harmonize their procedures and approaches to make sure that animals are treated friendly, fairly and receive any medical intervention with minimum stress and pain. Students also are trained and receive basic information during the preclinical years about animal welfare and animal ethics.
