The Department of Activities and Student Initiatives is a division under the Deanship of Student Affairs. It is responsible for developing seasonal programs that encompass a wide range of seminars, lectures, workshops, and cultural, artistic, religious, social, and volunteer activities. The department supports and implements student ideas and initiatives by turning them into reality, aiming to foster student creativity and refine their personalities by instilling a sense of responsibility.
Additionally, the department oversees the affairs of student organizations, helping to highlight student talents in various fields such as calligraphy, painting, ceramics, music, singing, folk art, poetry, acting, and organizing scientific and general trips for students. The department prepares and trains the university's musical and folk art groups, which participate in all university celebrations. Some of the department's notable activities include:
-Participating in cultural and artistic competitions in music, singing, painting, and poetry.
-Serving the local community by organizing blood donation drives, free medical days, and awareness campaigns about the dangers of drugs, smoking, AIDS, and chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity.
-Organizing recreational and educational trips aimed at introducing students to the Kingdom's tourist, religious, and historical landmarks. These trips include tracing the path of the Great Arab Revolt and visits to ministries, institutions, agencies, and both civil and military bodies.
-Implementing student initiatives at both the university and local community levels.
