The Deanship of Scientific Research participated in the Train the Trainers program: AI for Technology Transfer.
The Deanship of Scientific Research at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), represented by Dr. Mohammad Shboul (Assistant Dean), participated in the AI for Technology Transfer Training of Trainers program.
The program, organized by the Higher Council for Science and Technology in partnership with the Innovative Approaches to Support Employment through Private Sector Development (I-PSD) project, implemented through the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), was a two-day training of trainers program on artificial intelligence for technology transfer hosted by the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). Participants included representatives from technology transfer and innovation offices and researchers from Jordanian universities.
This program is part of the Council's efforts to enhance the capabilities of technology transfer offices and empower them to utilize AI tools related to technology transfer and innovation commercialization. This will contribute to accelerating the transformation of scientific research outputs and promising ideas into prototypes and innovative, commercially viable opportunities with economic and social impact.
The program included practical sessions and applied workshops that focused on the use of generative artificial intelligence tools in various stages of technology transfer, developing participants’ skills in Prompt Engineering, exploring technical opportunities and analyzing patents. This program is expected to contribute to transferring knowledge and expertise to Jordanian universities through the participants who will act as trainers within their institutions, thus enhancing the sustainability of the impact and expanding the scope of benefiting from the uses of artificial intelligence in supporting technology transfer and innovation.
