Job Announcement: Full-Stack IoT & Mobile Application Developer
24 Sep 2026

Project Title: Expansion and Smart Control System for Seed Storage at OULA for Seed Production

Position Type: Contract / Project-Based.
We are seeking a qualified, innovative Full-Stack IoT & Mobile Application Developer to design and build a secure, scalable, and extensible web platform and mobile application for real-time sensor data ingestion, monitoring, and environmental control.

Key Responsibilities
1.    Web & Mobile Application Development: Build a responsive, user-friendly web dashboard and cross-platform mobile application (iOS & Android) for real-time monitoring and management.
2.    IoT Data Ingestion & Real-Time Telemetry: Implement high-throughput ingestion pipelines to process live streams from distributed environmental sensors, including temperature, relative humidity, carbon dioxide, light intensity, and air quality.
3.    Bidirectional Control Systems: Integrate secure control interfaces enabling authorized operators to remotely adjust setpoints, trigger actuators (ventilation, cooling, dehumidification), and manage automated schedules.
4.    Alerting & Notification Engine: Develop configurable threshold triggers and push/SMS/email alerts for anomaly detection (e.g., critical temperature spikes or sensor dropouts).
5.    Data Visualization & Analytics: Design interactive charts, historical logs, exportable analytical reports (PDF/Excel), and comparative trend visualizations.
6.    Security & Scalability: Implement role-based access control (RBAC), end-to-end data encryption, and modular architectures capable of scaling to additional storage zones and future crops.

Required Technical Skills and Qualifications
1.    Backend & IoT Protocol Architecture
•    Solid proficiency in backend development using Node.js, Python (FastAPI / Django), or equivalent modern run times.
•    Hands-on expertise with IoT messaging protocols, particularly MQTT, WebSockets, and HTTP/RESTful APIs.
•    Practical experience configuring and securing message brokers (e.g., Mosquitto, EMQX, HiveMQ).
•    Experience with time-series data management and hybrid database architectures (PostgreSQL, Time scaleDB, or InfluxDB).
2.    Frontend & Mobile Development
•    Strong foundation in modern web frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, or Next.js) with state management.
•    Proven experience building cross-platform mobile apps using Flutter or React Native.
•    Expertise in real-time UI data binding, charting libraries (e.g., Chart.js, Recharts, Apache ECharts), and mobile push notifications.
3.    Security, Infrastructure & System Integration
•    Implementation of secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, Multi-Factor Authentication).
•    Familiarity with hardware/sensor communication payloads (JSON, byte-level serial parsing) and microcontrollers/gateways (ESP32, Raspberry Pi, industrial edge gateways).
•    Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and cloud/on-premise deployment environments (Linux, Nginx, CI/CD pipelines).

Application Instructions
Interested candidates are invited to submit their application package, including:
1-    Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
2-    Cover letter highlighting relevant IoT, web, and mobile development experience.
3-    Portfolio links (GitHub repository, live application demos, or technical case studies).
