Call for Application: Financial and Administrative Manager for SALAM Project (Interreg NEXT MED)

Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) is seeking to appoint a Financial and Administrative Manager for the project:
“SALAM – Social, sustAinable and incLusive heAlth care systems in Med area.”
The project is funded under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme and implemented through a transnational partnership led by Policlinico di Bari – University Hospital Consortium (Italy), with participation from academic and humanitarian partners across the Mediterranean region.
The selected candidate will support the financial management and administrative coordination of the project in accordance with Interreg NEXT MED regulations, donor requirements, and JUST financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
  • Manage and monitor the project budget in compliance with Interreg NEXT MED regulations and JUST financial rules.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and budget updates required by the Lead Partner and programme authorities.
  • Ensure that all project expenditures are eligible, properly documented, and aligned with the approved budget.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documents for all project-related transactions.
  • Support procurement and financial documentation related to project activities.
Administrative and Project Coordination
  • Support the project team in the administrative coordination of project activities.
  • Facilitate communication and reporting between JUST, the Lead Partner, and project partners.
  • Assist in organizing project meetings, training sessions, workshops, and mobility activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation and archiving of project deliverables.
  • Support preparation of project progress reports.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in financial management or project administration.
  • Experience working with internationally funded projects is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with European-funded projects (especially Interreg or similar programmes) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic (spoken and written).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with international donors, NGOs, or development projects.
  • Familiarity with EU grant management and financial compliance requirements.
  • Experience in procurement procedures and project administration.
  • Ability to coordinate with international partners and multidisciplinary teams.
Contract Details
  • Type: Part-time contract (outside official working hours at JUST).
  • Duration: Project-based contract aligned with the project duration (36 months).
  • Location: Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Irbid, Jordan.
