The Deanship of Academic Development and Quality Assurance intends to hold an (online) workshop on Measuring students' learning outcomes and analyzing them.
Workshop Summary:
This workshop aims to empower faculty members with the ability to construct learning outcomes accurately and differentiate them from general objectives and educational goals. The workshop also covers methods for measuring learning outcomes through tests and non-test assessments, addressing important issues in the tools and methods used to measure learning outcomes to overcome measurement errors from various sources. This ensures the prevention of bias and subjectivity in these tools and methods and achieves fairness in assessment among students enrolled in courses taught by faculty members. Faculty members often face challenges in formulating learning outcomes, along with confusion between educational objectives and general goals and learning outcomes. The workshop addresses the difficulty in measuring learning outcomes and how to verify the degree of achievement of these outcomes.
