The primary goal of the University Competency Exam is to evaluate the quality of the educational outputs of higher education institutions in Jordan, as well as the effectiveness of their programs. The exam identifies both strengths and areas for improvement, providing valuable insights that help policymakers, in collaboration with the Higher Education Accreditation Commission (HEAC), address weaknesses and enhance areas of strength.
The Deanship of Academic Development and Quality Assurance plays a key role in coordinating and organizing the exam procedures at the university, acting as a liaison with the Higher Education Accreditation Commission.
