Dear Colleagues;
It is our great pleasure at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), to welcome you all as you attend the 1st Scientific Conference (Breast Imaging Update in the 21st century). We are most honored to organize this conference in partnership with Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP), as we all synchronize in serving our students, staff, community and beloved Jordan. I feel most honored and privileged to take on the role of Chair of the Conference.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Jordan, responsible for 37% of all female cancer cases. With this in mind, it is imperative to act quickly and decisively to save lives and reduce suffering and mortality from it. Hosting this conference is part of our multidimensional quality approach and commitment to fighting breast cancer in Jordan.
We believe that every woman should have equal opportunity to access quality early detection and screening. With quality being essential, it is vital to provide radiologists with opportunities to develop skills needed for accurate and precise detection.
Over the course of this conference, you will not only gain insight from world-renowned experts, you will also have the opportunity to partake in current research-related breast imaging fields; to gain more expertise in mammography evaluations, breast MRI protocols and Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT). Such skills are in high demand in Jordan and across the region, and are essential to developing world-class breast health services, which lead to more accurate and efficient breast cancer diagnoses.
I would like to thank all the attendees, speakers and sponsors for being a part of this conference. Our combined efforts are a crucial component in fighting breast cancer, and shaping the future of breast cancer services in Jordan and across the region.
