📢 Call for Abstracts- 6th JIDC Poster Competition
The Scientific Committee of the 6th JIDC invites abstract submissions for its Poster Competition, welcoming interdisciplinary participation from the dental and technology communities.
Who Can Participate?
The poster competition is open to a diverse and interdisciplinary audience, including:
- Dental students (undergraduate and postgraduate)
- Dental interns and practicing dentists
- Dental specialists, educators, and researchers
- Students and professionals from IT, AI, engineering, computer science, biomedical technology, and related fields
Collaborative submissions between dental and technology disciplines are welcomed.
Poster Themes / Subjects
Submissions may focus on one or more of the following areas:
- AI-based research and digital innovations across all fields of dentistry
- Clinical case reports showcasing novel approaches or technologies
- Creative and entrepreneurial ideas exploring how AI can transform:
- Oral health care and patient-centred treatment
- Dental data management and digital workflows
- Research, innovation, and evidence-based dentistry
- Dental education and training systems
- Clinical practice, diagnostics, and treatment planning
- Practice management and healthcare delivery models

Abstract Submission Criteria
Word Limit
- The abstract must not exceed 200 words (excluding the title and author details).
Language
- All abstracts must be written in clear, concise English.
Structure
- Abstracts should be structured under the following headings, where applicable:
- Title
- Authors and Affiliations
- Background / Aim
- Materials and Methods (for research studies) and Case Description (for case reports)
- Results / Key Outcomes
- Conclusion / Significance
- Entrepreneurial or concept-based submissions may use a flexible structure, clearly outlining the idea, its relevance, and potential impact.
Content Requirements
- The abstract must align with one of the announced poster themes.
- Research abstracts should present original work.
- Case reports must demonstrate educational or clinical significance.
- Entrepreneurial submissions should clearly describe innovation, feasibility, and potential application of AI in dentistry.
Formatting Guidelines
- Use standard abbreviations and define them at first mention, avoid references, tables, figures, and images within the abstract text.
