Description | The workshop will address the role that health care accreditation standards and quality programs can play and influence patient safety. The workshop will address the links between High-quality care and rate errors and patient harm. Patient safety improvement is quality improvement focused on lowering errors. Both kinds of improvement are needed, and both improve safety for patients, but their focus is different.
Does this distinction have any relevance to the role of accreditation, accreditation are particularly legitimate and useful for patient safety improvements, while they are less useful in ensuring more general quality improvement. It is hard to argue that a clearly unsafe practice should be permitted, and it is much more reasonable to assert that accreditation standards be met by a hospital or other health care agency or provider if they wish to continue providing care |

1. Identify links between quality improvement and patient safety
2. Discuss impact of accreditation on patient safety
3. Share experience in implementing accreditation and quality programs and the entailed changes
4. Address need for national data about quality and patient safety. |

| Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) : Development, Implementation and Evaluation |

Description | This workshop will clarify the advanced nursing practice regulations at global and national level and APN role contributions for addressing objectives of the WHO's strategy on human resources for health (HRH) and meeting SDG Guidelines for development, implementation and evaluation of APN roles will be presented by using “participatory, evidence based patient centered process for advanced nursing practice (PEEPA) framework.
The working groups will exercise PEEPA framework by using the APN data collection toolkit for role development, Implementation and evaluation .
The working group efforts will focus on identifying the facilitators and barriers for APN roles Development, Implementation and evaluation and to raise key messages for stakeholders and policy makers at national and regional levels. |

مخاض كبير، وبعد إجراء كثير من التعديلات تم صدور قانون " المسؤولية الطبية
والصحية رقم (25) لسنة 2018" . تهدف هذه الورشة إلى إلقاء
الضوء على هذا القانون من وجهة نظر الممرضين والقابلات، ما هي أهم المحاور في
هذا القانون؟ ما هي الواجبات والمسؤوليات الملقاة على عاتق الممرضين؟ ما هي
الأخطاء الطبية التي ستتم المحاسبة عليها؟ ما هو دور كل من المؤسسات الوطنية
ونقابة التمريض والمجلس التمريضي في تنفيذ أحكام هذا القانون من جهة وحماية
الممرضين من جهة أخرى؟ كما تؤكد الورشة على دور
الممرض/ القابلة في معرفة مسؤولياته وواجباته القانونية والأخلاقية أثناء تأديته
