 “Innovative Avenues: Practice drives Education, Research, and Policy”

 

on October 16 – 17, 2018.

We are delighted to invite you to submit

abstracts, attend and register

at this important international event.

 

The THEME of the congress is to strengthen and invest in nursing and midwifery workforce to achieve the global health agenda including universal health coverage.

The congress brings together the world’s nursing and midwives leaders, practicing nurses and midwives, policy makers, scholars, and nursing and midwifery students to address national and international contemporary issues in nursing and midwifery practice, policy, education, health informatics and research.

To enable nurses and midwives to fulfill their true potential and optimize their contributions to achieve universal health coverage and the sustainable development goals, nurses and midwives should have a stronger voice to lead and influence Global, Regional and National health policy to help their countries meet the pressing health challenges of the 21stcentury.

They should have stronger voice and greater role in identifying health priorities and influencing health policy and decision-making at all levels and along with the WHO 13th  General Program of  Work, the Global Strategy on Human Resources for Health Workforce 2030, the recommendations of  the UN High Level Commission on Health Employment and Economic Growth and its five year action plan, as well as the global strategic directions for nursing and midwifery 2016-2020, The “Nursing Now” Campaign and other related WHO, ICN, ICM and STTI resolutions and programs for  strengthening the role and voice of nursing and midwifery workforce in influencing health policy and shaping the global health agenda

The conference covers the following sub-themes:

  • Transforming Nursing & Midwifery Education and Evidence Based Practice
    • Scale up transformative, high-quality education and lifelong learning for nurses and midwives to work to their full potential and strengthen their competence and skills to meet the health needs of their population and achieve the global health agenda including the Universal Health Coverage
  • Investing in Health Informatics
    • Enhancing Client- health education and centered health care utilizing the power of cost effective information technology and the national health information systems.
    • Empowering ePatient/eHealth to improve Health Care Reforme
  • Strengthening Innovative Safe Nursing & Midwifery Practice
    • Moving toward community based practice
    • Advancing the role of specialized nursing practice
  • Influencing Evidence-Based Policy and Decision Making
    • Highlighting Nurses contribution to inform and sustain Health Policy
  • Influencing health policy: A stronger voice  for nursing and midwifery workforce to lead the way
    • Developing Nurses and Midwives Leadership Skills
    • Cultivating global health leaders for a solid health care system and better patients outcomes
    • Influencing and shaping health policy

​The congress also will offer speakers panel discussions and speeches featuring a slate of internationally scholars and policy maker; would be sincerely appreciated by the nursing and midwifery workforce at the national, regional and international levels.
