Invitation to attend “Climate Smart Food Systems Simulation Modeling” Workshop in WDC-JUST, Jordan
The University of Florida (UF), Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), and the Water Diplomacy Center at JUST are excited to announce a collaborative workshop on Climate Smart Food Systems Simulation Modeling. This three-day intensive workshop, taking place from May 19th to 21st, 2024, is designed for researchers and professionals interested in modeling climate smart food systems. The workshop will give an overview of modeling a wide range of biological and environmental systems with greater emphasis on soil and water conservation of dryland agriculture in Jordan. A tiered approach will introduce participants to conceptual modeling, model development and model applications to simulate biological systems including Water system, crop modelling and rangeland system. The workshop will also lead to creating a community of practice around modeling to link Jordanian modelers and institutions with the University of Florida for further collaborations including graduate studies at UF.
