Job Vacancy: Research Assistant
The Water Diplomacy Center at Jordan University of Science and Technology is searching for two full-time Research Assistants (graduated within the last five years) for the project titled "Blue Peace Middle East 2.0 – Capacity Development (JUST-WDC)" in Irbid, Jordan, under the following conditions:

Job Description:
- Conduct literature reviews and summarize key findings.
- Collect and analyze data using appropriate methods.
- Assist in designing and setting up experiments or studies.
- Manage and organize research data, ensuring documentation and security.
- Contribute to research reports and presentations, including synthesis and writing.
- Completing any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
Position A:
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Natural Resources and Environment/Water Resources/geology or any other related specialty from a recognized university with a minimum grade of very good.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering/Natural Resources and Environment/Water Resources/Sustainable Water Resources/geology/geography from a recognized university with a minimum grade of very good. Thesis subject must be water resources-related.
- Applicant nationality: Blue Peace Middle East Countries (Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey) with permission to work in Jordan.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Arabic.
- Previous experience in research work.
- Ability to work within a team and handle work pressure.
Position B:
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Natural Resources and Environment/Water Resources/geology/geography or any other related specialty from a recognized university with a minimum grade of very good.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering/Natural Resources and Environment/Water Resources/geology/geography from a recognized university with a minimum grade of very good. Thesis subject must be application of GIS in water resources such as hydrological studies, vulnerability assessment, water resources management, transboundary water etc.
- Applicant nationality: Blue Peace Middle East Countries (Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey) with permission to work in Jordan.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Arabic.
- Previous experience in research work.
- Ability to work within a team and handle work pressure.
