Job Vacancy: Communication and Media Officer
The Water Diplomacy Center at Jordan University of Science and Technology is searching for a highly skilled Communication and Media Officer to oversee the media section within the Blue Peace Middle East Capacity Development Project. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in designing and executing strategic communication and social media strategies aimed at promoting and increasing the project's visibility.

Eligibility:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the media field.
- Proficiency in online content management systems, and website management with experience in design tools.
- Excellent Language proficiency in English in Reading, Speaking, and Writing (mandatory at C1 level) is essential.
- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Journalism & Media, Design & Visual Communication, Political Sciences, Medical Sciences, Engineering, or International Relations.
- Good knowledge in the water sector is preferable.
Job Description:
- Develop a Social Media Strategy: Conduct research to identify and select relevant platforms. Formulate a comprehensive plan outlining goals, content themes, and posting schedules.
- Create and Promote Engaging Content: Generate compelling text, images, videos, and hashtags. Manage community interactions and utilize targeted social media advertising to broaden audience reach. Ability to write press releases in Arabic and English.
- Perform Administrative Tasks: Prepare invoices, draft meeting minutes, and schedule meetings as required.
- Assist in Communication: Facilitate internal and external communication among team members, project partners, and stakeholders, and handle event logistics.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager on assigned tasks.
- Task Execution: Efficiently complete any additional duties delegated by the Project Manager within specified timelines.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with web-based online communication tools.
- Ability to produce high-quality storytelling-type communication material for social media.
- Experience with virtual event software such as Zoom and MS Teams.
- This position requires a proactive individual with exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking ability, and efficient multitasking skills.
- Experience with design tools.
