The WDC plans to become a distinguished center for coordinating research and studies and providing training for cooperation in the field of water and diplomacy across borders in the Middle East/West Asian and North Africa by providing the necessary specialized information, data, and tools for transboundary water management.

The course was attended by 70 participants from various local and national institutions, international organizations, university professors, and researchers from Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria, as well as Portugal, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.​
