​As part of Jordan University of Science and Technology’s ongoing efforts to enhance its international academic presence, the University launched a strategic partnership with the global platform Coursera in 2020. This partnership aims to offer academic courses developed at the University through a global learning platform that ensures wide accessibility to learners around the world.

Coursera is recognized as one of the world’s leading online learning platforms, hosting millions of learners and offering thousands of courses and specialized programs in collaboration with prestigious universities and academic institutions. The platform is distinguished by its flexible learning model, provision of accredited certificates, and integration of the latest digital learning technologies, all of which enhance content quality and expand its global reach.

In this context, a specialized team from the Center for E-Learning and Open Educational Resources, in collaboration with faculty members at Jordan University of Science and Technology, works on developing and designing high-quality online courses in accordance with advanced academic standards. These courses are then published on the Coursera platform.

To date, four courses from diverse disciplines in the fields of medical sciences and information technology have been successfully launched, attracting more than 10,000 enrolled learners from around the world. Additional courses from various academic disciplines are currently under development and will be launched soon.
