The technical team at the Information Technology and Communications Center (ITCC), in cooperation with the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions, developed a project to calculate the capacity of the accreditation commission, to automate the commission's procedures aiming to save time and effort spent on accrediting institutions and ensuring their quality. Automation and computing help decision-makers in the Accreditation Commission, as well as the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in making the proper decisions by generating accurate reports as a result of automation.

Under the patronage of Professor Khalid El-Salem, President of the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), and the Authority's President, Dr. Zafer Al-Sarayrah, a workshop was held at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, attended by the presidents of Jordanian official and private universities, as well as the directors of their Information Technology and Quality centers. The first phase of the commission's automation project began.

The ITTC's technical team, represented by Engineer Mohammed Al-Momani, and the President's Assistant for Accreditation Commission, Professor Saad Bani Mohammad, presented the project by presenting live and direct examples that show the mechanism for calculating capacity and extracting its reports from both Jordan University of Science and Technology and Yarmouk University, as they had completed all the needed requirements and procedures for linking with the project.

The workshop also included an in-depth discussion with Jordanian university presidents and attendees on the project's details and value to universities. Dr. Al-Sarayrah responded to all questions before thanking the Jordan University of Science and Technology, represented by its president and all of its staff, for their valuable contribution to the completion of this project, which aimed to shorten the time and reduce the effort expended by the Accreditation Commission and Jordanian universities in terms of completing accreditation and quality procedures for academic programs at Jordanian universities.
