A team of students from the Centre of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology has won second place at the scientific research exhibition held as part of the 10th annual forum of the JANA Organization
With broad participation from academics, researchers and experts from various universities and institutions, the Just1-Sounding Rocket team – one of the teams from the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology – achieved a remarkable feat by winning second place for the best poster at the scientific research exhibition, which was held on Wednesday 15 July 2026 on the sidelines of the 10th Annual Forum of “JANA – Jordanians Graduates of North America", organized by the Faculty of Science at Yarmouk University in collaboration with the organization, under the theme “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education: Reshaping Learning, Research and Future Skills". The winning team from the Faculty of Engineering comprised two students: Shahd Al-Qawasmi, specializing in Industrial Engineering, and Ayat Saad, specializing in Aeronautical Engineering, who presented an outstanding research project reflecting a high level of creativity and scientific excellence.
Dr. Ahmad Bani Younes, Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, participated in organizing the forum in his capacity as a member of the Board of Directors of the JANA Organization, and chaired the first panel discussion, which addressed the applications of artificial intelligence in higher education and its future prospects.
This achievement reflects the outstanding academic caliber of the students at the Jordan University of Science and Technology and is in line with its mission to provide a technological and scientific environment that fosters excellence, creativity and innovation, and the role played by the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects in supporting students and enabling them to develop their research and entrepreneurial skills and incubate high-quality projects, thereby contributing to building a competitive generation and enhancing their participation in local and international scientific forums.
