On Tuesday 9 June 2026, the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Crown Prince Foundation – Irbid Office, an interactive specialized training programme entitled 'Designing Environmental Initiatives', targeting young people aged 18–25. The aim was to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to develop innovative and sustainable initiatives that contribute to serving the community and the environment, and promote a culture of volunteering and community leadership.

The training programme, which spanned two sessions, included a range of specialized topics focusing on methodologies for designing and managing sustainable environmental initiatives, analyzing and prioritizing environmental issues, and preparing effective action plans for initiatives, alongside developing skills in environmental impact assessment and field leadership. This contributes to preparing a generation of young people capable of bringing about positive and sustainable change. The programme was delivered by trainer Israa Fardous, a specialist in environmental initiatives and sustainable development.

This programme forms part of a series of specialized programmes implemented by the Center, reflecting its commitment to providing a supportive environment for creativity and innovation, and empowering young people to acquire the skills of the future that will enable them to contribute effectively to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
