Conclusion of the ‘Introduction to the Internet of Things using ESP32’ workshop at the Centre of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology
As part of its ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurship and innovation, the Centre of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology concluded on Wednesday 20 May 2026 the activities of the workshop 'Introduction to the Internet of Things using ESP32' organized in collaboration with the university's robotics and automation society, IEEE RAS JUST, over four training sessions. The aim was to enable participants to acquire modern technical skills and link academic knowledge to practical application, thereby contributing to the enhancement of engineering thinking through the development of interactive projects in the fields of smart technology.
The workshop involved carrying out practical projects using ESP32 boards, enabling participants to apply theoretical concepts in practice. They developed smart prototypes simulating Internet of Things (IoT) applications, which helped to enhance their practical skills and foster their capacity for innovation and teamwork. Dr. Ahmed Bani Younes, Director of the Centre of Excellence for Creative Projects, presented certificates to the participating students in recognition of their active participation and completion of the workshop's training requirements. The workshop was delivered by the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology and was attended by students Aws Rjoub, specializing in Computer Engineering, and Ma'n Abu Naim, specializing in the Internet of Things.
