Jordan University of Science and Technology has won three awards at the 10th National Technology Festival in the annual competition for student projects at Jordanian universities, held at the German-Jordanian University
The "Collaborative Mobile Robot Swarm" project won the first prize for the "Smart Systems" category for students: Ammar Omar, Mohammed Nasrallah, Alaa Abu Hantash and Al-Abr Al-Taj under the supervision of Dr. Fahad Awad of Computer Networks Engineering and Security Department, College of Computer and Information Technology.
The project "Use of waste Hexaflourosilicic acid as a silica precursor for silica coated magnetic nanoparticles" won the first prize for the category of "engineering design and simulation" for the students: Statement of Zubaidi and Bian Khatib and Samia Choucair under the supervision of Dr. Muhannad Al-Jarrah and Dr. Mohammed Al-Harashsha of the Department of Chemical Engineering, College Engineering.
The third prize for "Energy and Environmental Technology" was awarded to Yousuf Akor and Mohammed Al-Khalifat under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Al-Harhasha of the Department of Chemical Engineering.
Sixty-six projects (out of nearly 200 projects) were completed in eight categories. The first three projects were awarded for each category. The University participated in seven projects, four of which qualified for the final stage.
