Participation in the Cybersecurity Advancements, Innovations, and Technology Expo-CAITE 2025C8
Jordan University of Science and Technology participates in the official opening of the Cybersecurity Advancements, Innovations, and Technology Expo-CAITE 2025, sponsored by CFI and held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II at the Dead Sea from November 18 to 20, 2025. with the participation of a select group of experts and specialists in the field of digital security and technology. The university's participation came through a graduation project supervised by Dr. Qasim Abu Al-Hija entitled SafeSurf Darknet 2025 and a research project supervised by Prof. Dr. Bashir Al-Duwairi entitled Enhancing Cybersecurity for SCADA Systems in Jordan: Risk Assessment, Penetration Testing and an AL-Based Intrusion Detection Solution, represented by Prof. Bashir Al-Duwairi, Dr. Qasim Abu Al-Hija, and student Mohammad Obeidat as speakers, and Prof. Moaz Mawafi, Prof. Wafa Ta'an, Dr. Khaled Al-Rawashdeh, Dr. Fawaz Khasaouna, and students Ibrahim Al-Sayouf, Anas Masha'a, Yahya Awaudeh, Anis Al-Eida, and student Karam Al-Omari as attendees. Students Karam Al-Omari, Anis Al-Eida, and Anas Gharaibeh also participated in the Live Hacking competition.
This event comes within the framework of national efforts aimed at consolidating Jordan's position as a regional hub for cybersecurity and modern technologies, in line with the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2025-2028, which requires investment.
