Under the patronage of the Vice President of Jordan University of Science and Technology, Prof. Mona Abu Dalo, the NASA Space Apps competition, organized by a group of creative university students in collaboration with the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, concluded on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in pursuit of its vision to be a hub for creativity and excellence. The competition aimed to encourage students to innovate and think scientifically by presenting innovative solutions to the challenges posed by the US space agency, through the formation of work teams to develop projects addressing various issues, such as environmental sustainability and space exploration.
The three-day competition saw wide participation from students, with 200 male and female students representing 40 teams from various academic disciplines. They were trained to develop their innovative ideas and technical projects to be feasible for implementation. The results of the competition and the winning teams were announced at the end of the event. First place went to the Procyon team, represented by students Mahmoud Hamad and Yaman Adib. Raymark team, represented by students Bashar Al-Zoubi, Obada Salhi, Zakaria Al-Nusoor, Ayat Saad, and Hassan Al-Qadah, came in second place, and the Orion team, consisting of students Zaid Al-Halo, Yazid Radwan, Shihab Shibli, Abdulrahman Al-Samadi, Daren Batah, and Nermin Batah, came in third place.
Abu Dalo expressed her pride in the high level of creativity shown by the participating university students, noting that such events enhance their creativity and innovation skills. She added that the competition opens up broad horizons for Jordanian youth to become part of future technological solutions in facing the challenges of the times.

Engineer Bilal Al-Hafnawi: Director of Digital Transformation and Technology.
Engineer Zain Al-Samawi: Director of Technology at the National Institute of Robotics and Technology.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Maaitah: Associate Professor in the Department of Security Engineering and Computer Networks, Faculty of Information Technology.
Mr. Alaa Al-Din Khalaileh: CEO of QUILL.
Dr. Wafa Ta'an: Deputy Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects.
Engineer Ayoub Al-Qaisi: Head of Product Management at Colltible Network.
