PHBC is dedicated to increasing the performance and quality of services, diagnosis and research through the implementation of the highest international quality standards. Since the accreditation of ISO 9001/2008 in April 2011, PHBC has walked several steps in quality control and now continues through the application of College of American Pathologists (CAP) standards with expectation of accreditation very soon. Our staff is highly trained in the field of biosafety and biosecurity. In addition, we are actively involved in proficiency testing with Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The procedures for finding, reviewing and auditing is organized through meetings between the director and coordinators. The Divisions perform scheduled assessments of the previous operations and set for new objectives. This system of quality control added so many benefits to the PHBC center; the organization of work, definition of roles and responsibilities, lowering analysis costs and losses, saving effort, increasing the quality of services through the application of local and international certifications, validation of the quality of service in collaboration with hundreds of laboratories around the world.
The accreditation by ISO 9001/2008 serves an organizational and managerial purpose. This certificate helped build the organizational grounds for applying Jordanian and International standards in development, improvement and enhancement of work performance, achieving customers’ varied expectations, and serious handling of notes and complaints.
The CAP standards will serve both technical and practical purposes. Validation and verification of testing provide a sustainable approach for quality control of our analytical methods.
The quality control division follows the staff, instruments and operations inside our laboratories. It also plays role in organizing training workshops and improving the knowledge and performance of staff.
