Mission

Act as neutral knowledge hub that provides research-based evidence to drive informed policy decisions and manage projects that advance sustainable development.

CSDST goals:

1. Provide the local community, politicians and international developmental entities operating in Jordan with neutral research-based evidence to make informed policy decisions regarding the implementation of the SDGs.

2. Generate quality-based evidence and proposed solutions needed to achieve significant transformation of local communities towards sustainable development.

3. Contribute to the teaching of sustainability courses and to the supervision of studies related to sustainability​.

4. Provide a neutral nonpolitically affiliated platform for cross sectoral dialogue needed to identify the major priorities needed for achieving sustainable development goals.

5. Strengthen cross disciplinary collaboration among the university’s faculties and centers with emphasis on sustainable development goals.

6. Provide opportunities for faculty, staff and students to bring societal impact and pivot Jordan University of Science & Technology as regional hub of expertise.

7. Collaborate with international NGOs and funding agencies to achieve sustainable development at the national level.

8. Act as a coordinating center for societal developmental related activities within the university’s faculties and centers.
