The Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology (CSDST) at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) Wins Project to Enhance Social Accountability in Healthcare Institutions.

The Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing a prestigious project aimed at developing cutting-edge tools to strengthen social accountability within healthcare institutions. The project, co-funded by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and the European Union Mission in Jordan through the Life Center - Rased, marks a significant step towards fostering transparency and good governance in the healthcare sector.

This groundbreaking endeavor is part of the larger initiative known as "Enhancing Social Accountability and Empowering Civil Society Organizations to Achieve Good Governance," which aligns with the Integrity Project. The Integrity Project, funded collaboratively by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and the European Union Mission in Jordan through the Life Center - Rased, is dedicated to promoting integrity and accountability across various sectors in Jordan.

The official Contract signing event took place on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in the distinguished presence of the Spanish Ambassador in Amman, esteemed government officials, representatives from the European Union Mission in Jordan, and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID). The Integrity Project team at the Life Center - Rased was also in attendance, highlighting the significance of this collaboration.

Prof. Ammar AlMaaytah, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology, signed the cooperation and funding agreement on behalf of the University President, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to lead this transformative project. Prof. AlMaaytah emphasized that the Center's highly skilled staff will spearhead the implementation of the project in close collaboration with local community institutions. Their collective objective is to develop innovative tools for social accountability that will enhance the overall performance and outcomes of healthcare institutions. The project will be carried out through a series of carefully planned activities within specified timeframes.
